            2021 Board of Directors

At our April 2021 Annual Meeting, four alumni were elected to the 15-member Board of Directors, joining the other members who had been elected at previous annual meetings. The current members of the Board of Directors are:

Serving the First Year of a Three-year term; Term ends in 2024

  • Allen, Derry. Last EPA position was Director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Environmental Data.   Currently retired.

  • Armstead, John.  Last EPA position was Director, Land and Chemicals Division, Region 3.  Currently, Adjunct Professor at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.

  • Coleman, Sam.  Last EPA position was Deputy Regional Administrator, Region 6.  Currently retired.

  • Wise, Louise.  Last EPA position was Principal Deputy Assistant Administrator, Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention.  Currently retired.

Serving the last two years of a three year; Term ends in 2023

  • Bachmann, John.  Last EPA Position was Associate Director for Science/Policy and New Initiatives, Office of Air and Radiation.   Currently, part time consultant.

  • Brassard, Candy.  Last EPA position was Senior Biologist for the Environmental Stewardship Branch, Office of Pesticides Programs.  Currently,  a Consultant.

  • Fenner-Crisp, Penny.  Last EPA position was Senior Science Advisor, Office of Pesticide Programs. Currently, an Independent Consultant.

  • Carl Edlund.  Last EPA position was Director, Superfund and Emergency Response Division, Region 6.  Currently, member of  SMU Civil and Environmental Advisory Board.

  • Richard Emory, Jr.  Last EPA position was as an attorney in the international compliance division of the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.  Currently, he is the author of a book found at www.fightingpollutionbook.com

  • Lydia Wegman.  Last EPA position was Director, Health and Environmental Impacts Division, Office of Air and Radiation.  Currently, retired.

  • Kimm, Vic.  Last  EPA position  was Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pesticides and Toxics.  Currently retired.

  • Minoli, Kevin.  Last EPA position was Principal Deputy General Counsel.  Currently in private practice.

  • Uhlig, Marylouise.  Last position at EPA was Associate Assistant Administrator for Management in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention.  Currently self-employed.

  • Ullrich, David.  Last position at EPA was Deputy Regional Administrator, Region 5.

  • Weil, Stephen.  Current EPA and Environmental News Update Editor.  Past Elected Secretary of the Association.  Last position at EPA was Chief, Land Disposal Restrictions Branch in the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response.  Currently retired.

  • Wayland, Robert H.  Past President of the Association. Member of Previous Board of Directors; Member of Interim Board of Directors, EPA Alumni Association; Last EPA position was Office Director, Wetlands, Oceans, and Watersheds, Office of Water 1991-2002. Currently retired.

  • Elkins, Chuck. Executive Director, EPA Alumni Association; Last EPA position was Associate General Counsel 1991-95. Currently Retired.

  • Voltaggio, Tom. Current Elected Treasurer of the Association. Last EPA position was Deputy Regional Administrator, Region 3.  Currently self-employed

  • Flaherty, Phyllis.  Past President of the Association. Last EPA position was Chief, National Compliance Monitoring Policy Branch, Office of Compliance, Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (EPA: 1976 - 2011). Currently, self-employed part-time as an environmental compliance consultant.

  • Menotti, David.  Past President of the Association. Last EPA position was Associate General Counsel for Air and Radiation. Currently retired from the law firm of Crowell & Moring.
