Opportunities to help Students

The EPA Alumni Association encourages alumni to work with high schools, colleges and universities to help students learn about the environment and also explore environmental careers.

Virtual Alumni Collaboration in the Classroom

  • EPA Alumni can consult with classroom educators about how Alumni can provide one-time talks to supplement classroom discussion. In most cases, these are one-time appearances, but some cases, alumni involvement might extend for the whole semester.   For one example of how 4 alumni collaborated with a Professor at Arizona State University for an entire semester and how that resulted in a 40-page student report and a video presentation, click HERE

Virtual Discussions with University Faculty

  • EPA Alumni are also available to meet with University faculty to discuss the disciplines that EPA and other environmental organizations employ.

Virtual One-on-One Discussions with Students

  • Offer limited one-on-one discussions with students on environmental and other professional and administrative program careers

  • The University organizes the outreach, sign up for students

  • EPA Alumni participate in 30 minute, 1:1 conversations

  • Conversations are about career paths in general -- not individual jobs

  • Meetings are virtual
